If you want to reach students, you can’t be afraid to try new things. Baylor has struck an incredible balance of holding on to what’s most important (our faith, incredible student experience, etc.) while growing and improving across the board (Exhibit A: R1 status).
Higher ed leaders across the country are noticing Baylor’s efforts — and that shows up in lists like U.S. News‘ “Most Innovative Schools,” where Baylor ranks among the nation’s top 40 national universities. That puts Baylor well inside the top 10% nationally when it comes to innovation.
To create this list, U.S. News asked college presidents, provosts and admissions deans to name the schools they believe are making the most innovative improvements in terms of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology, and/or facilities — “schools that the public should be watching,” as U.S. News has explained it.
The honor joins an ever-growing list of national accolades that address many aspects of Baylor:
- Annually among U.S. News‘ top 100 national (and top 50 private) universities
- No. 4 for First-Year Experience (U.S. News)
- No. 9 for Learning Communities (U.S. News)
- No. 10 nationally for most Fulbright scholars (U.S. Department of State)
- Top-40 for both undergraduate teaching & research (U.S. News)
- Top-75 nationally among “Best Colleges for Future Leaders” (TIME)
