In 2019, Baylor set a school-record with seven Fulbright scholarship recipients — part of the nation’s most prestigious international education exchange program. Just three years later, Baylor doubled that total, with 14 Fulbrights. And in 2025, Baylor jumped to 24 Fulbright student honorees.

Such success has catapulted Baylor up to No. 10 nationally in Fulbright qualifiers — No. 1 in Texas, and among Big 12 schools. Baylor also earned recognition this spring as a Fulbright Top Producing Institution for the fourth straight year.

“For four consecutive years, Baylor has stood among the nation’s elite in Fulbright success,” says President Linda Livingstone, “and I’m so proud of our record 24 Baylor Fulbrighters, who are studying, teaching and conducting research abroad while also fostering mutual understanding in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.”

“Earning recognition as a Fulbright Top Producing Institution for the fourth consecutive year speaks to something far larger than a ranking,” adds Dr. Andrew P. Hogue, associate dean for engaged learning in the College of Arts & Sciences. “It reflects the strength of a Baylor education — one that equips students with the curiosity, character and global perspectives needed to lead and serve in places far beyond our campus. … These Fulbrighters join a growing Baylor Line of Fulbrighters making a difference all over the world, and we are extraordinarily proud.”

The list of this year’s top 10 Fulbright-producing institutions is an impressive one: Georgetown, Brown, Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Columbia, NYU, Princeton, Michigan — and Baylor.

The Fulbright is a program of the U.S. Department of State, and its roster of alumni is notable — including 44 heads of state or government, 63 Nobel Laureates, 93 Pulitzer Prize winners, 83 MacArthur Fellows, and countless leaders in all sectors and industries, both in the U.S. and around the world.

Sic ’em, Fulbright recipients!
