If you’re a Baylor fan who loves life with your earbuds popped in, or who can’t make a drive without connecting your phone for your favorite podcast, then you’re in luck: the University offers multiple podcasts to keep you connected to all things Baylor, from athletics to academics, theology to history.
Here are 10 podcasts from Baylor faculty, schools and more to add to your subscription list:
* Baylor Connections: Let’s start with the official Baylor podcast, featuring guests from the whole spectrum of Baylor life, including regular insights from President Livingstone. Connections added video this past fall as a new way to interact with the program.
* Counseller’s Corner: There’s no denying that Baylor Law Dean Jeremy Counseller has a perfect name for a legal career, and he’s lent that name to the Baylor Law podcast. Counseller’s Corner takes a distinct approach, interviewing current Baylor Law students to share their experiences, dreams and more.
* Currents in Religion: The official podcast of the Baylor Department of Religion and Baylor University Press, Currents in Religion takes listeners inside current topics in Christianity with researchers, writers, artists and more.
* Innovative Business Podcast: Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business produces top-tier business research — and makes that research accessible through their official podcast. Hosted by Russell Rankin, Nick Cline and Justin Walker, the podcast features business faculty making their research come alive.
* Just Schools: Stories of educators making a difference in the lives of their students are among the most inspiring out there. Many of those stories are told for the first time in this podcast, hosted by Dr. Jon Eckert, executive director of the Baylor Center for School Leadership.
* Truett Church Network Podcast Channel: Baylor’s Truett Seminary offers three podcasts in one through their own podcast network. Todd Talks, featuring Dean Todd Still, joins Five Good Thoughts and Pro Ecclesia in covering a variety of relevant topics to those who minister and serve the church.
* Professors Talk Pedagogy: Baylor’s Academy for Teaching and Learning (ATL) exists to help Baylor professors continue to grow as teachers, and ATL’s Professors Talk Pedagogy podcast shares insights from Baylor professors to their campus colleagues and beyond.
* School Spirit: When many Bears think of the Office of Spiritual Life, they think about Chapel or mission trips — and rightly so. But Spiritual Life staff members also nurture student spiritual development in other ways, including through their podcast, covering numerous topics of interest to students in their spiritual journeys.
* Sic ’Em Podcast: The Sic ’Em Podcast is the official podcast of Baylor Athletics. “Voice of the Bears” John Morris sits down with the Bears’ biggest names — coaches, players and more. A recent conversation featured Doug McNamee in his first long-form podcast interview as director of athletics.
* Waco History Podcast: Baylor’s hometown comes alive in this podcast, hosted by Baylor History’s Dr. Stephen Sloan, director of the Institute for Oral History. From little-known stories to revisiting significant moments in Waco’s history, it’s a fascinating look at the moments from Waco’s frontier past to the present day.
For Bear fans, there’s something for everyone. Happy listening!
