Baylor has always been about family — so it was a joy to welcome thousands of BU parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and more to campus this past weekend for Family Weekend 2025.
From the “Meet the Faculty” Welcome Hour on Friday afternoon, through the Lauren Daigle concert that night, and on to Baylor Football’s victory Saturday, the weekend was a joyful celebration of our extended Baylor Family.
For those who couldn’t make it (or those who just want to relive it), here’s a look back at some of the highlights:
First up, the “Meet the Faculty” and Welcome Hour brought together parents and professors over Dr Pepper floats at the Hurd Welcome Center. (Sophomore Reception offered a similar time specifically for second-year students and their families, with a special feature on key resources to help sophomores thrive in year two.)
For dinner, a host of Waco’s favorite food trucks convened on Fountain Mall for “Taste of Waco“:

Friday night of Family Weekend always means “After Dark,” the annual student talent show:

Perhaps the highlight of the evening was the Lauren Daigle concert, which sold out Foster Pavilion:
Saturday meant football, of course — starting with the Family Weekend tailgate outside McLane Stadium:
And it all wrapped up with Baylor football’s 42-7 win over Samford:
The next big Baylor Family event? #BaylorHomecoming — less than six weeks away!
Sic ’em, Baylor Family!
