It’s been years since the Baylor campus got as much snow as we saw here Wednesday morning, as large, fluffy flakes quickly coated already cool surfaces. It snowed hard for about two hours, but the snow disappeared almost as quickly as it arrived; by midday, it was almost completely melted, as the sun came out and temperatures jumped into the mid 40s.
Before the snow disappeared, however, Baylor Photography got some great shots of campus, seen in this photo gallery from the Baylor Facebook page. Others around campus also posted photos to Twitter and Instagram; we shared some of these earlier today on Twitter, while others are linked here for the first time:
- “Snow. #Baylor. Beautiful.”
- A snowy bear statue in front of the McLane SLC
- “Do you wanna build a snowman?”
- Short video gives a good idea of how thick the snowflakes were
- Snow + Pat Neff Bells = awesome.
- Founders Mall turns white
- Lost track of how many students I saw posing for pictures (like this) outside this morning
- Another snowman in front of Pat Neff Hall
- Snowy shots of the football practice fields, Baylor Ballpark and Hart Track & Field facility,
Sic ’em, snow bears!
